A pork picnic roast is most often used for slow-cooking, smoking, or roasting to create tender, succulent meat for pulled pork sandwiches. Due to its high fat content and skin-on nature, it is ideal for creating crispy crackling, or it can be shredded for tacos, carnitas, or stews.

This is similar to our Boston Butt cut, but the Picnic Roast is a leaner cut that is better for roasting.
